I would like to squelch a rumor that has been going around that they are thinking of selling our swimming pool due to nonuse by our residents.....This is absolutely not true, I have it from good authority that they are considering turning it into an ice skating rink....

Reminder!!!!!
Soon, many of you will be heading back up North and tho we
haven't had to shovel snow, it hasn't been the greatest of winter seasons
here...
(as if you hadn't noticed).... While we have been very fortunate here as far as
Hurricanes go, who knows what these crazy weather patterns will bring forth in
the future..... The reason I am mentioning this is because I am reminding you to
please do not leave articles in your yard
that become missiles during a Hurricane....Such as flower pots, grills, yard
decorations, etc.... Having lived thru Hurricane Wilma, I can truthfully state
that the only damage we had to our home was from flying objects from other
homes, including a ceiling fan from a neighbor's lanai upon our roof....If you
think an object left outside is too heavy to be blown away, you are sadly
mistaken.....Protect your own home as well as your neighbors....Windows are the
most susceptible to flying objects....
Come join us for the Monday morning coffee at 8:30 to 9:30 am!!!
Meet your friends and neighbors and help solve all of the world's problems....

This appears to be a good time to refresh our memories with what the County has planned for the future of the rest of our streets...
7/20/09
From our County Administrator
Based on the most recent evaluation of all County roads, Pointe West made the list to be rebuilt this year. Depending on the amount of the available funding allocated for the next fiscal year, Vantage Trace should be on the list for the following fiscal year. Vantage Circle and Pointe East are probably several years out and that will depend on available funding and how these road(s) compare to other County roads on the next evaluation. If the streets in your subdivision were asphalt, it would be a much simpler task. However, because they are concrete and do not have a normal sub-base, when the roads are repaired, the County is going to have to remove the concrete, go down about 10 to 12 inches and rebuild the sub-base and then put down a layer of asphalt. It is a much more costly process than a typical resurfacing that we do on the vast majority of the roads in the County.

My beloved wife Anita, crochets scarves and gives them to one of my daughters in the Wash DC/Baltimore area.....Her church then includes them in a care package that they make up for the homeless at Christmas time... Pictured here are 90 that she has made so far this Fall...She has made over 300 in the past three years....Besides the yarn she purchases, she relies heavily upon yarn which people donate to this good cause....If you have any leftover yarn laying around that you would like to contribute, please contact Anita at 386-0117 or E-mail us by clicking on the below link....Even small balls of yarn can be used as she combines them with other colors.... You can always bring it with you next year (if you don't forget).... Tnks, Jer
